We return to Morocco for more reasons than it is possible to list.

The country is known for its rich artistic heritage, encompassing various art forms -  architecture, pottery, calligraphy, textiles, jewellery, metalwork, and woodwork.

The country's vibrant arts scene reflects its unique blend of cultural influences and provides a fascinating tapestry to draw inspiration.

This is a slightly modified version of a trip we made in February and combines what we hope will be many of the highlights but without the need for many days of travelling.

All meals, snacks, coffee breaks, etc are included - including wine with meals where establishments serve it (as a Muslim country some do not allow the serving of alcohol). This means less for you to budget for and simplifies paying at the end of meals immensely, saving much precious tour time.

DETAILS

This tour concentrates mainly on the many delights on offer in the seaside town of Essaouira. For decades it has been a magnet for creative types and it is not hard to see why.

Apart from the stunning coastline with miles of golden sand and endless skies, it has a rich cultural heritage and a vibrant arts scene. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to its well-preserved medina.

En-route to Essaouira we will be stopping for two nights in the Agafay Desert. From here we will explore the Atlas Mountains and visit authentic Berber villages.

We are moving steadily towards pricing our tours as all-inclusive. There is no perfect solution here but perhaps the most critical asset we have is time. Twelve people in a restaurant figuring out how best to split a bill and then queuing up to pay eats up a lot of it. Twice a day plus coffees x 6 adds up to several hours wasted. Therefore we feel it is altogether more efficient to cost the tour to include food, tea, coffee and wine.
